Home Series with Hanneke

In the 'Home Series', we visit ambassadors who inspire us with their beautiful bedrooms. This time we are visiting Hanneke Tsujimaru, who lives in a village in the heart of Brabant. Hanneke is a digital creative who stands out for her minimalist, clean style. We asked her how she creates that luxury feel at home....

What is your favourite hotel? 

I like August in Antwerp.

What makes this your favourite hotel?

Nice bed plus bedding. Lovely hotel in an old monastery. I love their style, clean sober design. And lovely Le Labo in the bathroom, that kind of detail... 

How do you create that luxury hotel feel in your own bedroom? 

I recently got a new bed. The bedding from DOUXE makes me sleep really well. I sometimes go to bed extra early :-)

How can you best describe your style? And how is this reflected in your bedroom?

Clean, minimalist and I love design. My bedroom has to be fresh and white. Preferably white bedding, at most a stripe. 

No clutter. A few beautiful things, that’s it. 

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Travel, Instagram, Pinterest or beautiful interior design books.

Do you have a set bedtime ritual?

I go to bed early, watch a series for a bit, but no social media! 

Suppose you get to design/create your dream home, what should not be missing?

Oh dear, just 1 thing?

There are many important things in a house. A good kitchen, coffee corner, nice shower, maybe a proper dressing room after all.
