DOUXE attaches great importance to the way its products are made. The wellbeing of our customers, producers and animals is a top priority for us. The certificates below guarantee that DOUXE only uses down and feathers that are obtained in the most responsible way. In addition, our products are suitable for people with a house dust mite allergy.

 

Egyptian Cotton Association Certificate

The Egyptian Cotton Association Certificate guarantees that DOUXE duvet covers and fitted sheets are made from 100% Egyptian Cotton. The Cotton Egypt Association (CEA) aims to ensure that all items carrying the Egyptian Cotton ™ label are genuine. Too many brands profit from the name Egyptian Cotton ™ without meeting the very high standards. To stop the supply chain of falsely labelled goods, the CEA is introducing a revolutionary DNA testing process. This DNA test can identify the length of the cotton fibre and thereby establish whether or not it was grown in the unique climate of Egypt. It forms an important part of the accreditation procedure and safeguards the integrity of Egyptian Cotton™.

 

Downpass 

Certified feathers and down to a zero-tolerance standard. All DOUXE feather and down products carry the Downpass certificate and can be traced with a unique control number. The Downpass certificate guarantees that the feathers and down are produced responsibly and come from strictly controlled and traceable supply chains. Animal welfare and supply chain transparency are central.  With the Downpass certificate you can be sure that no live-plucked or force-fed animals were used for the products. Öko Tex 

The Öko-Tex® Standard 100 with the label TextilesVertrauen (Trust in Textiles) is the world’s best-known and most widely used independent certification for textiles. Öko-Tex Standard 100 tests bed linen for substances that may be harmful to health and that can mainly cause allergic reactions.

Nomite

The NOMITE certificate indicates that our products are suitable for people with a house dust mite allergy. Products filled with feathers and down have climatic properties that are favourable to humans, but for the mite, which depends on humidity, this living environment is very unfavourable.
