Are you allergic to house dust mites? You too can sleep wonderfully with our down bedding. Research has shown that house dust mites do not like to live in down and feather bedding. During this research, hundreds of homes, bedrooms, beds, blankets and pillows were checked for house dust mites. Almost no house dust mites were found in the down and feather bedding that was examined. The main reasons for this are:
- The dense weave of the ticking of duvets and pillows filled with feathers and down is an impermeable barrier for mites.
- Down duvets are highly ventilating and temperature regulating. Moisture and perspiration are quickly drawn away, so the duvet stays relatively dry. That is why it is a very unfavourable living environment for house dust mites, which depend on moisture and damp, muggy conditions.
- Down and feathers are absolutely not a food source for house dust mites.
